# Base Maps

 1\. Navigate to the plugin installed `HCMGIS` (this should be located in your top menu bar)> `Basemaps` and select the basemap ESRI shaded relief

2. We can't see the shaded relief since the land cover raster is covering it up. Drag the land cover layer above the ESRI shaded relief.
3. Right click on the land cover raster and select `Properties` > `Transparency`
4. Adjust the transparency to about 30% and click `OK.` Now we can see the surface elevation better with land cover over layer.
